  • Joe Swash is reportedly set to appear on the next series of Dancing On Ice.

Fans were convinced that the TV presenter would be taking part in the next series of the ice skating competition after the ITV show posted a series of teasers on their Instagram page to reveal the upcoming contestants.

Sharing ambiguous close-up snaps with their 245,000 followers, Dancing On Ice posted a picture of contestant pointing a gold star in their pocket.

And viewers were convinced that it was I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here: Extra Camp presenter Joe Swash, with many commenting his name on the picture, as the star looked suspiciously like the jungle competition’s infamous gold stars.

And now a source has revealed that the charismatic presenter is apparently in talks with the TV show.

Speaking to the Sun Online, a source said: ‘Joe’s currently talking to Dancing On Ice bosses. It’s no secret ITV love him and are keen to see him on the ice.

‘He’s looking for a new challenge after I’m A Celeb and he’s sure to prove popular with viewers.’

The former EastEnders only recently revealed that he would be quitting I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here: Extra Camp (formerly I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, NOW!), after hosting the jungle competition’s spin-off talk show for 10 seasons.

The dad-of-two, started presenting the comedic programme after he went into the jungle himself the year before and won the eighth series of the competition back in 2008.

But after welcoming second child Rex earlier this year with partner Stacey Solomon, the TV presenter decided to quit his role with the Australia-based show.

‘I’ve come to the decision that this year I’m going to have to leave my jungle family and stay home with my wonderful real family.’

He continued that he could no longer commit to the intense three-month long filming process that takes part on the other side of the world.

‘I don’t want to miss a second with Stacey and our amazing boys so 3 months in Australia just seems too much to bear this year.

‘I’m so grateful for everything the jungle has given me and for all of the people who have took me under their wing and given me memories to last a lifetime,’ he continued.

‘I’ve made some unbelievable friends in fact family in oz and I’ll miss you all terribly.’

Well hopefully we won’t be missing him for too long and we’ll get to see him back on screen soon with his skates on!
