Gareth Bale welcomes his second child with partner Emma Rhys-Jones

And they picked a very meaningful name...

Real Madrid footballer Gareth Bale has announced he and his partner have welcomed their second child.

The Welsh sportsman, from Cardiff, announced that he and his partner Emma Rhys-Jones have welcomed their second addition to the Bale brood.

The baby news came from the man himself, who decided to tell the world he had become a dad again via Instagram, with an adorable snap of his baby.

The 26-year-old football star also used the picture to share the celebrity baby name they picked for their baby girl - Nava Valentina.

'Delighted to welcome another beautiful baby daughter into our family today. Nava Valentina Bale', he wrote on social media.

While the Spanish influence is visible from the the baby girl's first name, Nava seems to come from a Hebrew word that means pretty, pleasant or desirable.

Gareth lives in Spain with his partner Emma Rhys-Jones. The two met at school in Cardiff and were childhood sweethearts. In October 2012 they welcomed their first child, three-year-old daughter Alba Viola.

A few days before sharing the happy news with fans, the footballer also took to Instagram to thank his eldest daughter for a 'perfect' Father's Day.

The dad-of-two posted a picture of his Father's Day present, which is celebrated on 19th March in Spain, and proudly showed off the original artwork that seems to have been made by Alba Viola herself, with a picture of her and Gareth.
