Sister Sister star Tia Mowry has taken to social media to reveal the gender of her second child.

The 39-year-old is currently expecting her second child, and found a really sweet way to reveal her baby's gender - literally.

Before opening the cake, Tia - who has a twin sister - considered the possibility of the reveal cake showing that she was having twins.

'You know what I just thought of? What if you're having twins, and it's like a boy and a girl? Maybe you make half of the cake pink and half of the cake blue and mix it all in there', she said.

At the end of the video, Tia finally reveals the gender of the baby she is expecting - and she's welcoming a baby girl!

'We're having a girl! We're having a girl! [My son] Cree is going to have a baby sister. We are so excited', she said.

Tia announced she is expecting her second child last November, by posting a lovely family picture on her Instagram account.

In the snap, which she captioned with a few red love hearts, her son Cree and her husband Cory Hardict are seen kissing her blossoming baby bump.

Ahead of welcoming another bundle of joy into her family, Tia said that one of her new year's resolutions is to be more present for Cree, before he has to share his parent's attention.

'I don't want to feel like I'm leaving my son Cree out. Being a twin, it's really important to focus on your children's individuality. I just want to make sure that I'm the best mom and that I'm present for both my children.'

Tia and Cory, who's also an actor, have been married since 2008, and tied the knot after dating for seven years.
