  • Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has revealed he wants to have more children with husband Carl Hyland, saying they want a ‘big family’.

The new dad became a father in May when he welcomed twins with his husband Carl, but the two are already planning to add to their brood.

Speaking exclusively to OK! magazine, Kieron gushed about his ‘incredible’ experience with fatherhood in the past six months, saying it’s been ‘magical’.

‘It’s amazing I love it. I can’t find words to describe it, it’s just incredible, there’s nothing negative to say about it,’ he said.

But despite admitting that he’s tired, the dad-of-two also revealed that he wants more children with Carl and that the two want to have a ‘big family’.

‘Everyone says double trouble. Yeah you’re tired, but it’s magical. It’s all we have ever wanted; but we’ve not finished there. It’s definitely given us a big nudge to have more. We want a big family,’ Kieron added.

The actor also revealed he’s making sure his little ones – Chase and Phoebe Rae – are Hollyoaks fans, as the soap is part of their routine in the evenings.

‘Hollyoaks is part of my night time routine with them. I bath them during the 6:30 show so we’re back down for the 7pm episode when they have their bottles,’ he explained

Kieron and Carl, who tied the knot in April 2015, welcomed twins in May, after a series of failed IVF attempts in previous years.

The couple announced they were expecting in December, and revealed they were going to have a a baby boy and a baby girl in January.

Kieron had previously opened up about fatherhood, a month after becoming a dad for the first time.

Speaking to What’s On TV at the British Soap Awards in June, he said: ‘You can’t really prepare yourself, you think you can by buying everything, but until they’re in your arms and you have that overwhelming feeling of love [you can’t].

‘After a couple of days when they start opening their eyes and you’re feeding them, oh my god it melts your heart.’
