Aldi's stunning new Easter egg made from ruby cocoa beans will hit supermarket shelves later this month.

Are you ready to try something different this Easter? If you haven’t got round to trying it yet, you could give ruby chocolate a taste - it's the first new variety of chocolate since Nestlé introduced white chocolate back in the 1930s with the launch of the Milkybar.

This unusual chocolate is made from ruby cocoa beans, and has a natural, rosy-pink colour with a distinctive berry-like flavour, along with sweet and sour notes. It was unveiled by Belgian-Swiss cocoa company Barry Callebaut in 2017 after 13 years of scientific development.
