McDonald’s are giving away FREE festive treats on Christmas Eve

McDonald’s have got you covered…

This Christmas Eve McDonald’s are on hand to make sure everyone gets the festive treats they deserve…

Every family has their own Christmas traditions and most parents will agree it gets more exciting as your kids get older and start to understand the festivities a little more.

The Royal Family has some strange Christmas traditions including weighing everyone before and after the Christmas dinner and not opening presents on the 25th December!

But one tradition that lots of families like to take part in, is leaving a treat for the gift-giver himself – good ol' Santa Claus.

And if you want to make sure Santa’s trusty reindeer don’t miss out on the feasting, McDonald’s are on hand to help.

This Christmas Eve they are giving away a free bag of ‘Reindeer Treats’ so that you can be #ReindeerReady… Unfortunately this does mean you won’t be picking up a free Big Mac for your Christmas Eve snacking, as we’re not sure the Reindeers are meat-eaters…

Instead, you’ll receive a bag of carrots so that the kids can leave something out for Rudolf and his pals.

McDonald’s have a sweet video to go with the campaign, which shows Santa going from house to house to gobble up his mince pies and milk but leaving with nothing for the reindeers.

It’s proving popular on social media so far with one person writing: ‘This is just lovely’.

Another added: ‘I go to McDonald’s every Christmas Eve! It gets me in the mood’.

However, as always there are some Scrooges who wanted the treat to be something tastier like a McFlurry…

Speaking about the campaign, marketing director for McDonald’s Ben Fox said: ‘Our new Reindeer Ready campaign aims to remind customers that we are there when they need us at this time of year - from a Christmas shopping coffee break to a pre-party burger or even a mid-present delivery carrot stop. From TV to OOH, social to in-store, we will make sure there is a little reindeer magic for everyone this Christmas.’
