  • X Factor viewers will choose a rejected act from week one of the live shows to replace Frankie Cocozza, who quit the show earlier this week.

Amelia Lily, 2 Shoes, Jonjo Kerr or James Michael, who were each sent home by their own mentors after just one performance, will face a phone vote to decide who will re-enter the competition.
‘The four acts have never been in a public vote so, with Frankie leaving the competition, this is an opportunity for the public to decide who comes back to the show,’ confirms an X Factor spokesman.

Gary Barlow’s boy Frankie, 18, was booted out of the programme for breaking its rules after he allegedly boasted about taking cocaine backstage.

‘I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no longer be in The X Factor,’ Frankie announced in a statement.

‘My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage over-stepped the rules of the competition.

‘I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I’m leaving. I would like to thank everyone who’s supported me.’
