Phillip Schofield loses 9lbs on the 5:2 Diet

  • If it’s good enough for Schofe… Our favourite silver fox has admitted to trying the weight-loss craze that’s sweeping the nation – The 5:2 Diet.

    The This Morning presenter lost a whopping 9lbs in the first three weeks on the diet that sees you eating just 500 calories (for women) or 600 calories (for men), for two days out of seven.

    While filming couples’ gameshow Mr and Mrs, Phil admitted to the crowd that he was on the 5:2 Diet and that he was ‘feeling really hungry’. We’re not surprised! It must be tough working on This Morning every day with incredible chefs cooking up a storm and having to resist their treats!

    We spied Phillip at the Waitrose Summer Party at The National History Museum this week and we must say he was looking very trim in a chic grey suit and light-blue tie.

    Though we did see him enjoying a glass of Champagne while enjoying Paloma Faith’s performance – it must have not been a fast day then!

    And it’s not just Phil that’s tried the 5:2 Diet – other celebrities said to have shed the pounds on the weight-loss plan are Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Jennifer Aniston and Liv Tyler to name but a few.
