Lucy Abbersteen
Lucy has been on Marie Claire's digital beauty team since the end of 2017, covering a range of different topics spanning skincare, make-up, hair and health. Her day-to-day job can involve anything from picking the brains of the world's top dermatologists, swatching the latest and greatest foundations, or chatting to anyone from Little Mix to The Vivienne as part of our Beauty Bytes interview series. As well as writing daily beauty news and features, you'll also spot her on Marie Claire's IGTV channel for quick-fire questions with industry experts and famous faces, or rummaging through the contents of the year's sell-out beauty advent calendars. A graduate of the University of Sheffield's BA Journalism programme, she first joined the team as Digital Assistant back in 2016. She has since written for a number of different titles including Cosmopolitan, woman&home, InStyle, Women's Health and LOOK. Her biggest beauty loves? Great cleansers, blackhead-busting toners, hydrating serums and hair products that her dry, loose curls will soak up with ease. When she's not got beauty on the brain, you're most likely to find her in the company of dogs (her sister owns one of the cutest cockapoos around), sleeping, or reading a book. She'll often get through two or three a week on her morning commute, enjoying a mixture of easy reads, psychological thrillers and non-fiction. She's also a big fan of RuPaul's Drag Race, rosé and and trying to keep her house plants alive.
