Paul Hollywood
Paul Hollywood is best known for being a judge on Channel 4’s baking competition ‘The Great British Bake Off.’ Although he’d originally trained as a sculptor, Paul’s father - who was also a baker - managed to persuade him to join the family business. And thank goodness he did. Paul went on to become one of the best artisan bakers in the country working at some of the most prestigious hotels in London including The Dorchester and The Grosvenor.
During his early career, Paul spent a lot of time travelling around the Middle East to source ancient bread recipes and went on to set up his own bread brand- Paul Hollywood Artisan Bread Company, now stocked in Waitrose and Harrods. Alongside his best-selling books Paul has written for The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The BBC Good Food Magazine and The Observer. He’s also found TV success in America, appearing as a judge on in 2013 on The America Baking Competition, and in 2017 on The Great American Baking Show.
Paul split from his wife of 20 years Alexandra last year, and the pair have one son together, Josh. If you think you’ve got what it takes to win a ‘Paul Hollywood handshake’ or whether you just want to try your hand at a crusty cob loaf or delicious focaccia we’re sure to have all of Paul Hollywood recipes.
