Rhiannon Derbyshire is the Senior Beauty Editor for Goodto, Woman & Home and other publications. 

She started interning for magazines while working alongside her Fashion Journalism degree. There, she was lured from the fashion returns cupboard to the beauty desk, seduced by matte lipsticks, posh shampoos and every skincare product imaginable. Since then, she’s specialised in writing about beauty, fashion, interiors and health. Beauty remains her favourite topic. Ok, potentially a close second to her rescue dog, Betsi.

A first-language Welsh speaker, she can tell you why the best mascaras are always high street, why SPF is a non-negotiable all year round and how to find the exact right red lipstick in two languages, which is a pretty niche party trick (she tried to add French into the mix but found the Duolingo owl quite threatening).

After a decade of straightening, she’s finally embraced her 3B curls. Nailing her curly hair routine been a journey - the key, she finally realised, was letting go of any control - and finding the holy grail curl cream.

She lives in south London, and can often be found pootling around the commons while listening to a podcast.
