Alesha Dixon has admitted she's 'longing' for another child, but fears she won't be able to get pregnant again due to her age.

The mum-of-one has opened up about her desire to have a bigger family, and give her daughter Azura a baby sister or baby brother.

Speaking to You magazine, the singer said: 'Not a day goes by without me longing for another baby.

However, she goes on to admit that she's not sure it will happen at her age, as she approaches 40.

'I don't know whether it will happen given my age but I adore the idea of a large family and I hope I will be lucky', she added.

Despite 'longing' to become a mum again, the Britain's Got Talent judge says she's currently focusing on her five-year-old daughter Azura, who she welcomed in 2013.

'The love I feel for Azura is so pure and unconditional. The main thing is to enjoy her in the present and be philosophical about the future, because what will be will be.'

It's not the first time Alesha has opened up about wanting to have more children. In 2015, the Britain's Got Talent judge said she would consider it in a 'couple of years'.

'When you're exhausted, it’s hard to think of a second baby, but we’ll see! Maybe after a couple of years', she told OK! magazine in 2015.

Alesha, who was previously married to rapper and actor Michael Harvey, shares her daughter with boyfriend Azuka Ononye.

She started dating the dancer back in 2010, and the pair welcomed their first child three years later.

Speaking about whether marriage is in the cards for them or not, the 39-year-old admitted she doesn't rule out proposing to her beau.

'I wouldn't rule out ever proposing to him. I'm not in a rush to get married but I would definitely be open minded to it - why not?

'Unless he's down on one knee with a ring then I'm not going to take him seriously', she previously said at The Jonathan Ross show.
