Pregnant Amy Schumer admitted to hospital after cancelling shows

Amy Schumer, who announced she was expecting her first child last month, has revealed she had to be admitted to hospital.

The expectant mum posted a picture of her in hospital on Instagram, as she revealed she's suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, the same condition Kate did with all of her three pregnancies.

She wrote: 'Texas I am so deeply sorry. I have been really looking forward to these shows. I have to reschedule. I am in the hospital. I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story.

'I’ve been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows. Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bullshit! Sending so much love to the doctors and nurses taking great care of me and Tati! They are cool as hell! And Texas I am really really sorry and I’ll be out there as soon as I’m better.'

Fans of the comedian rushed to offer their support, with some even sharing their own experiences of Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

One said: 'Thank you for being so honest and bringing attention@to hyperemesis. I had it with both my pregnancies for the whole pregnancy. It was much worse with my second as I was carrying twins. I struggled to get good care. Awareness here in Australia is not great and needs to be improved. Hopefully you’ve helped to do a bit of that today. But mostly I wish you wellness soon. Take care of yourself.'

Another said: 'Hyperemesis blows. I had it with my bub. Hospitalised 5 times during my pregnancy and was on 3 different medications. The 3rd trimester doesn't get any easier.'

A third wrote: 'Don’t be sorry for taking care of yourself. ❤️ you’re growing a human... that’s a lot of work!'

Amy announced she was pregnant last month, with a hilarious Photoshopped picture of Prince Harry and Meghan.

The lovely baby news came just eight months after she and Chris tied the knot, in February.
