The one thing you probably missed during Archie’s first public appearance

Harry, Meghan and baby Archie

Archie, Meghan and Harry’s first child, was introduced to the world for the first time yesterday, but there’s one thing you might have missed during the special moment.

Ever since it was announced that Meghan had given birth to a baby boy earlier this week, royal fans had been eagerly waiting to see Harry and Meghan’s first child.

The moment finally came in when the pair attended a photo call inside Windsor Castle, to which only a few selected members of the press were invited.

But while it seemed that the hall only had a handful of people - including baby Archie, Meghan and Harry – reality was quite a bit different.

In a picture shared on Twitter by Sky News journalist Maddii Lown, numerous camera crewmembers and journalist can be seen – something most people would definitely have missed when the clips and pictures were first released.

Alongside the image, she wrote: ‘Shoutout to some people who never get a mention but bravo to the Sky News camera team who kept their cool and produced the historic moment the world met baby Archie.’

As well as being broadcast on networks like BBC and American TV channel NBC, the special was also recorded in pictures – some of which were shared later on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s official Instagram page.

Alongside the lovely snaps, they wrote: ‘Today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share their first public moment as a family.

‘They are so incredibly grateful for the warm wishes and support they’ve received from everyone around the world, since welcoming their son two days ago.’

Later in the day they also announced the baby’s name, alongside an image of Archie meeting his great-grandmother for the first time.

‘This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle’, they wrote.

‘The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion.’
