Actor David Tennant and his wife Georgia have welcomed their fifth child together.

Georgia, who met former Doctor Who star David when she appeared alongside him in the BBC sci-fi drama, took to social media to share a sweet photo of him carrying their new born out of the hospital.

Making a nod to David’s role in series Bad Omens, she posted the image beside one of his co-star Michael Sheen carrying his own newborn daughter Lyra in the same way.

David and Georgia are yet to reveal the gender of their little one, but already share four children together.

After marrying in 2011, David adopted Georgia’s 17-year-old son Ty who was born out of a previous relationship. The pair also went on to have Olive, eight, Wilfred, six, and four-year-old Doris together.

David first revealed the news of Georgia’s fifth pregnancy when he appeared on James Corden’s The Late Late show.

James said, “David, we were just talking backstage, this is blowing my mind. You have four children already, your oldest is 17. You just told me you and your wife, the lovely Georgia, are expecting your fifth child."

Opening up on the exciting news, David joked, “What’s really weird about it is we’re now getting lectures on birth control from our 17-year-old son. And that’s definitely meant to be the other way around.

“He’s like, 'Come on, do I need to teach you the basics?' It’s mental, five is a lot.”

Sharing his own experiences as a father-of-three, James chipped in, “I have three children, and I already can’t keep up with the volume of birthdays. It’s always a child’s birthday.”
