Davina McCall has revealed how she's coping with single life following her divorce from husband Matthew Robertson.

The 51-year-old mum-of-three – who announced she was splitting from her husband of 17 years, Matthew Robertson in November 2017 – has opened up about being a single mother since the split.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping, the TV star praised ex-husband Matthew for his support with co-parenting their three children.

She explained: ‘Matthew is quite hands on, so I have support from him. We share the schools runs in the morning, which is really nice.’

But opening up about life as a single mum, the star admits at times this is ‘full on’.  Though, after a whirlwind couple of years she’s finding her ‘new normal’.

She said: ‘I won't deny it feels quite full on when I'm on my own though.

‘Now that Tilly's nearly 16, I can go and leave her and Chester at home for the evening, which has made quite a difference. I'm finding my new normal.’

Davina also opened up about her life in her 50s – claiming she’s hoping for a ‘banger’ of a decade.

She said: 'My 50s are a banger of a decade! Every age has a different set of hurdles to get over, but I've calmed down a bit and I'm feeling a lot more at peace with myself.'

Davina, who is now focused on health and fitness with her own online fitness program, also confessed that she sometimes struggles with body acceptance as her figure has changed with age.

‘My boobs are going down, my bum is going down and admittedly, I went through a stage where every time I looked in the mirror I'd think "What would I look like if I had something done?"

'But I've decided that changing and ageing is okay.'

Davina and Matthew married in 2000 and have three children, Holly, 17, Tilly 15, and 12-year-old son Chester, together.
