Fearne Cotton's kids' collection is perfect for families who love hand-me-downs
'It makes being a parent a bit easier.'
Fearne Cotton hopes her new collection of kids' clothes will help families who pass down outfits to friends and family.
Fearne's latest collection for Boots Mini Club is now on sale and we caught up with the mum-of-two to find out what inspired the new range.
Speaking to GoodtoKnow about the initial planning sessions, mum-of-two Fearne explained: 'It was all about creativity and art, and getting kids creative and messy.
'That was the starting point, so lots of prints with pencils on and splashes of paint and everything looking very hands on and then it rolled from there really. A kind of sporty element with the types and the cut of the clothing.'
Fearne is mum to five-year-old Rex and two-year-old Honey and admitted that she likes to dress Honey in some of her son's old clothing as it's not only cute but convenient!
The new collection has a very gender neutral colour palette but while Fearne comments that it has become more fashionable to promote gender neutral kids clothes, she did it to help parents with more than one child rather than to stay on trend. If you're not sure you have enough space for any more clothes though, read our tips how to organize your child's closet.
She explained: 'Honey wears quite a lot of Rex's clothes and we do a lot of hand-me-downs to other kids, so it just makes that easier. And, my daughter is a bit of a tomboy, so I always bear that in mind.'

Fearne added: 'But I don't think everyone has to be on board with it [gender neutral clothing] even if it is the new "it" thing to talk about but I just think it makes being a parent a bit easier. You can interchange the clothes easily between your kids and friend's kids.'
The Fearne By Fearne Cotton Range is available in Boots in store and online for children from brith to seven-years-old. Prices range from £8 to £34.
