Actress Gabrielle Union has revealed that she has welcomed a baby girl with her husband Dwyane Wade via a surrogate after suffering ‘eight or nine’ miscarriages
Gabrielle Union has announced her baby joy with husband and NBA star Dwyane Wade after enduring several miscarriages.
She’s starred in films such as She’s All That, 10 Things I Hate About You and more recently Breaking In but last year Gabrielle opened up about her struggle to conceive and the devastating reality of having at least eight miscarriages.
In her memoir, titled We’re Going to Need More Wine, Gabrielle wrote: ‘I have had eight or nine miscarriages. For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant — I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.’
Dwyane already has three children from previous relationships, but Gabrielle has helped him raise the three boys who are now 16, 11, and four.
However, the couple were still desperate to have a child of their own together and confirmed their happy news with a sweet Instagram post.
Quoting the song Lovely Day by Bill Withers Gabrielle finished her post gushing: ‘A LOVELY DAY 👶🏾👶🏾👶🏾 We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl! #onelastdance #skintoskin @dwyanewade ❤👑🥂 📸 by @awesomeedd’.
She shared three pictures showing herself and Dwyane lovingly looking at their daughter and enjoying the first few moments with their baby girl.
They haven’t yet revealed the name for their daughter but if they need some inspiration they can always head over to our top baby names list for 2018!
The couple’s fans are delighted with the news of their baby girl’s arrival and the picture has amassed more than 1.6 million likes in less than 24 hours.
One person wrote: ‘OH My, I’m a fan of yours and I read your book. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m so happy for you and the best to you and your new baby. Simply, God bless you and your family. I’m in tears of joy for you.’
Another said: ‘You deserve this soooooo much!! Am so happy for you both! Happiness does exist😍😍😘😘😘’.
A third simply added: ‘I’m so happy for you!!!💃💃💃’.
Congratulations to Gabrielle and Dwyane!
