Giovanna Fletcher revealed the sweet meaning behind her youngest son’s name in an Instagram Q&A.

Giovanna Fletcher welcomed her third son with husband Tom back in August and she’s been documenting their busy life as a family-of-five closely on social media.

Always upfront about the struggles that motherhood, and parenthood more generally, can bring, Giovanna is loved by her Instagram followers for her honesty and regularly engages with them in the comments section of her posts or through Instagram videos and chats.

Given that the run up to Christmas is a frantic time for most households, Giovanna admitted that she might have taken her foot off the pedal over the weekend and treated her followers to a candid Q&A session to make up for it.

Posting on her Instagram story the mum-of-three simply said ‘ask me anything’ and many of her 1.1m followers posted in their questions.

One fan asked: ‘What made you pick Max for your last baby? I love it… xxx’.

Giovanna explained that her youngest son’s full name is actually Maxwell Mario Fletcher and it’s a sweet tribute to someone on Tom’s side of the family.

She said: ‘Thank you! He’s actually Maxwell on his birth certificate. It’s Tom’s Nan’s maiden name.’

Max’s middle name Mario is also a sweet nod to her brother, who recently welcomed his first child with his fiancée Becky Miesner.

When Giovanna first announced Max’s birth and name her and Tom’s fans were quick to offer their congratulations and share how much they liked their baby name choice.

Underneath Giovanna’s birth announcement one person wrote: ‘Amazing news. Well done. Fabulous name. Xxx’.

Another said: ‘Congratulations! Fab name’.

Giovanna and Tom’s other two children have slightly more unusual names. Their first born, now four-years-old is called Buzz Michelangelo Fletcher and the couple’s middle child is called Buddy Bob Fletcher.
