Strictly professional Iveta Lukosiute took to social media yesterday to announce that she is pregnant with her second child.
From romance rumours to shock eliminations, Strictly Come Dancing 2019 has made headlines for all kinds of reasons, and now a former dancer has shared some exciting news.
Iveta revealed she’s now expecting her second child, after having problems conceiving.
The star said on Instagram, ‘After 2 years of unsuccessful tries and 2 consecutive miscarriages, we are happy to share that we are finally expecting a 2nd baby.’
The 39-year-old dancer posted a picture of herself, along with her husband Jenya Raytses, with a picture of the scan.
Iveta and Jenya already have a three-year-old son, Vidas – who the Strictly star named in memory of her brother.
Her post was met by a plethora of supportive messages from happy fans.
One said, ‘Congratulations this is such wonderful and lovely news!! Lots of love to you both.’
While another read, ‘That’s fantastic news! Sorry to hear it’s been such a tough journey getting here. Hoping that from now everything is ok and you can soon welcome another gorgeous little baby to your family.’
The pro joined Strictly in 2012 for the tenth season of the show and was paired with TV personality Johnny Ball.
She returned the following year with actor Mark Benton and placed sixth in the competition. Her 2014 partner was rugby player Thom Evans, who was the fourth celebrity to be voted off.
In 2015, Iveta left the BBC show – after just three seasons – to focus on her career.
In a statement, she said, ‘I really enjoyed my experience on Strictly Come Dancing. I loved everything about the show, dancers, judges, BBC, celebrities, fans – all of it was a pleasure to be a part of.
‘This year, I will focus more on my dance school in New York City, since I was away so much. However, I will be more than happy to stay involved with the show in the future.’
