Lucy Mecklenburgh is in her second trimester of pregnancy, and has taken to her social media to ask her followers for advice on a rather unusual side-effect of her pregnancy.
Lucy Mecklenburgh and her fiancé Ryan Thomas are due to welcome a baby boy next year, but she’s been experiencing some difficult pregnancy side effects.
On her Instagram, she revealed that she already has breast milk coming in, and that it’s orange in colour. As well as orange breast milk, she has also experienced a lot of back pain.
Writing on Instagram Stories, Lucy said, ‘Helppp Pregnancy back pain. Is there anything I can do to ease it?
‘I expected this in the 3rd tri but not yet. I’m experiencing a lot of things a lot earlier than expected!!! Bright orange Colostrum was another treat.’
Colostrum, also known informally as ‘beestings’ or ‘first milk’, is usually a golden yellow colour. It is typically produced in the first few days following birth, but it seems Lucy is dealing with it much earlier than expected!
Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas announced the pregnancy in a sweet Instagram post in August, where the pair was photographed holding a baby onesie, and Lucy was holding her bump.
She wrote ‘Best birthday present I’ve ever had’. Love you @ryanthomas84′
This baby is Lucy’s first, and Ryan’s second, as he shares 10-year-old daughter Scarlett from his previous relationship with Coronation Street actress Tina O’Brien.
After their big announcement, they received lots of congratulatory messages from fans everywhere. Their post received over 300,000 likes of support.
Tommee Tippee were quick to send well wishes to the couple, writing, ‘Congratulations to you both!’
Another fan wrote, ‘Wow congratulations to you both’
A third added, ‘Congratulations honey soo happy for you’
Lucy and Ryan spent a month apart whilst he was filming a new show about his mixed-heritage background alongside his brothers and father.
Last month, she shared an emotional photo of her cradling her bump with the caption, ‘We miss u @ryanthomas84 😭💙’
The couple have since been reunited, so we’re sure Ryan is there to offer support whilst Lucy deals with side effects!
It’s thought that Lucy is between 24 and 27 weeks pregnant, so there’s not long to go until their little one arrives…
