The actor and his fiancée both took to their social media accounts to confirm that Jessica had given birth to a baby boy.
On Tuesday, the Jessica uploaded a sweet photo to her Instagram page showing a close-up of the newborn baby’s hand and face.
‘Thomson Wylde Welling,’ she captioned the post, ‘January 5, 2019 12:31am 8lbs 8oz of pure LOVE’
Over on Tom’s Instagram page, the new dad posted an image of him holding a baby carrier with little Thomson in it, simply captioning the photo: ‘#love’.
Fans rushed to congratulate the pair, with many making reference to the 41-year-old’s Superman character in hit TV show Smallville.
‘Gonna have a superdad,’ wrote one fan, ‘congrats to you both’.
