Ferne first announced her pregnancy in April - a difficult time for the reality TV personality, as it was amidst the news that her partner at the time, Arthur Collins, had been arrested over an alleged acid attack at a nightclub in London.

The former TOWIE star kept fairly quiet on the subject throughout her pregnancy, but decided to speak out after Arthur was found guilty of the acid attack which took place at a nightclub in East London in April.

In an official statement released on her behalf, the new mum revealed that she plans to raise her daughter alone.

The statement reads: 'Ferne's thoughts are of course with the innocent people caught up in the events at Mangle last April. No one should ever be faced with violence on a night out.

'Having given birth days ago, Ferne is focusing on being the best mother she can be. She long ago accepted that she would be doing this alone and is determined to provide the best possible future for her daughter.'
