Husband pays heartwarming tribute to his 'overworked' nurse wife

So much better than a bunch of flowers...

An adorable Facebook post from a husband about his overworked 'hero' wife has gone viral with nearly 150k shares.

Bobby Wesson dedicated the social media story to his wife Rayena Wesson, who is a mum and trauma nurse at a hospital in Alabama.

The father, who previously worked for the Alabama Media Group, has been married since 2013 and said; 'My wife is a nurse. My wife is a hero.'

When the unsuspecting mother-of-one took a quick nap before work with her toddler son on Saturday 7th November, her proud husband decided to take a picture to remember the moment.

Bobby then uploaded the photo to his personal Facebook page 'in less time than it took to brew coffee' intended to only be seen by close friends.

Alongside the family snap, Bobby described how Rayena's night as a trauma nurse will unfold; 'Her hair and makeup will be done quickly. She will complain that she looks awful. I will disagree, emphatically, and get her a cup of coffee.'

'She will kiss the baby, she will kiss me and she will leave to go take care of people that are having the worst day of their entire lives.'

Although the picture was only meant to be seen by friends, the heartfelt message has gone on to be shared around the world, pulling at readers' heartstrings; 'It doesn't matter who you are or what happened to you. She will take care of you.'

'Car wrecks, gunshot wounds, explosions, burns and breaks - professionals, poor, pastors, addicts and prostitutes - mothers, fathers, sons, daughters and families.'

The proud partner was quick to confirm that his wife 'flinches' at being called a hero and paid tribute to the team of doctors and nurses she works with.

Seeing the reaction the story has created, Bobby said; 'My wife and I are both amazed and humbled by how far this has travelled and by all of the notes and stories that people all over the world have shared with us!'
