Mum-of-five Katie Price has opened up about her health fears for her eldest son Harvey, as his weight continues to rocket and his risk of diabetes increases.

Katie Price has always been very upfront when it comes to her kids. She doesn't try to hide them from the limelight and is vocal about any concerns she has.

In the model's latest reality show, My Crazy Life, Katie has talked about her fears for Harvey's health.

Harvey is the eldest of her children and his dad is former professional football player Dwight Yorke. The 16-year-old has Prader-Willi, a condition which means he is constantly hungry and causes morbid obesity in children.

Now that Harvey's weight has reached 22 stone, Katie knew she had to take drastic action and hired a weight loss specialist to help her son.

Explaining her decision Katie said: 'Harvey has had to start training. He weighs over 22 stone now. If you look at all of my kids we all eat the same, we’re all the same. But he’s got medical problems.'

Katie continued: 'If he doesn’t sort it out he will die, we’ve been told, because of his heart. So at the moment we are really trying to sort out his health.'

Katie hired her now boyfriend, 29-year-old Kris Boyson, to achieve Harvey's much-needed weight loss transformation.

She explained that although she hired him for a professional reason initially, seeing the care he was taking over Harvey sparked an attraction.

Katie said: 'That’s how I got in touch with Kris because he’s a weight loss specialist, not just a personal trainer. And obviously somebody who’s going to give my son attention like that when nobody’s ever given him that...'

She continued: 'Seeing the smile on his face – course it’s attractive. He's got the banter.'

Katie added that while her previous partner and estranged husband Kieran Hayler was a personal trainer, he never tried to help with Harvey's weight loss.

The mum-of-five says she really appreciates what her new boyfriend is doing for Harvey. She explained: 'Kris is helping Harvey and of course I like that. He’s just very level headed and I think he’s definitely come into my life at the right time.'

My Crazy Life airs on 16 July, 10pm on Quest Red
