  • An emotional video of a distressed young boy talking to his mum about being bullied has gone viral online and prompted a huge outpouring of support for the youngster.

In the upsetting video, the young boy, Keaton Jones, can be seen sobbing while he talks to his mum in the car about being bullied. He describes his experiences at school of being called names, taunted, and physically bullied with children ‘pouring milk’ on him at lunch.

‘Why do they find joy in taking innocent people and finding a way to be mean to them?’ Keaton tearfully asks his mother.

When she asks if he’s the only child being picked on the brave youngster responds: ‘It’s other kids too… I don’t like that they do it to other people… it’s not okay.’

He also shares his advice for other children facing bullying saying through his tears: ‘If you are made fun of, just don’t let it bother you. Stay strong.’

The boy’s mother was so moved by her son’s pleas that she uploaded the footage online. The response she received to the video was overwhelming, with many people sharing their support for her son, Keaton, and praising the schoolboy for raising awareness about bullying.

‘Keaton!!! You have so many people supporting you! You should be VERY proud of yourself for speaking out and inspiring others! You are amazing!’ wrote someone on Twitter after seeing the huge response from people applauding the young boy’s bravery.

‘You do have friends. School can be hell. Then you leave and find your people; the rest of us. It WILL get better one day, Keaton,’ agreed someone else.

After Keaton’s video and message went viral online, it caught the attention of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars too. Taking to Twitter, they also shared their support for the young boy, getting behind him in his call to end bullying in schools.

Actor Chris Evans, who plays the character Captain America in the hugely popular Avengers franchise, was quick to show his support for Keaton and offer him a once in a life time opportunity to attend the Avengers film premiere next year in LA with his mum.

Singer and Pitch Perfect actress Hailee Steinfeld sent a video message of support to Keaton, who she also invited to be her date at the Pitch Perfect 3 premiere.

A flood of other tweets from celebrities such a Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, as well as American football stars, Victoria Secret angels and more were also sent to Keaton on Sunday night.

Keaton’s sister Lakyn has been rounding up all of the messages and sharing them with her younger brother and says that her family wish to, ‘thank everyone for the love and support.’
