'I almost bled to death giving birth' Kim Kardashian West opens up about 'traumatic' birth
The star suffered complications when her placenta got stuck

Kim Kardashian West has opened up about her traumatic birth, which almost caused her to bleed to to death.
She's recently welcomed her third child via surrogate because doctors told her it would be too dangerous for her health to carry another child.
Now the reality TV star - who confessed she picked the gender of her third child - has spoken out about the traumatic birth she experienced, saying that she was at risk of bleeding to death.
'After giving birth, your placenta is supposed to come out. But mine was stuck', she told ELLE magazine.
'That's what women usually die from in childbirth - you haemorrhage and bleed to death and they can't stop it.'
The mother-of-three then explained that the doctor had to put his 'whole arm' in and 'scrape' off the placenta.
'To get it out - it's so disgusting - the doctor had to stick his whole arm in me and scrape it off. It was the most painful', she said.
Kim also revealed that the episode was so traumatic that her mum, who was in the room, still cries if someone mentions it.
She said: 'To this day, if you mention it to her [Kris Jenner], she'll cry. It was traumatic.'
Kim suffers from placenta accreta, a condition which means part of the placenta becomes deeply embedded into the womb during the pregnancy.
The condition became more serious during her second pregnancy with Saint, which is why she had to rule out being pregnant for a third time.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star also revealed that another child could be in the cards, but she would stop at four because she doesn't have time.
'I don't think I could handle more than that', she told the publication. 'My time is spread really thin. And I think it's important that in all couples, the mum give the husband as much attention as the kids', the 37-year-old said.
As well as Chicago, who was born in January, Kim and Kanye are also parents to four-year-old North and two-year-old Saint.
