The couple already have a four-year-old daughter

Lady Antebellum's lead singer Hillary Scott has announced that she's welcomed twin daughters over the weekend with her husband, Chris Tyrrell.

She captioned it: 'Our family is thankful and proud to announce the arrival of our precious baby girls.

'They were born in the early hours of January 29th, 2018 and we can't wait to share more about them in the days to come.

'Thank you to everyone who prayed and prayed for these little ladies, and thank you Lord for healthy babies. #twins.'

While she didn't reveal her daughters' names just yet, each of the infant-sized hats has the initial 'A' or 'B' on it.

Her exciting announcement received over 54k likes and 2,000 comments of congratulations and well wishes to Hillary, her family and the new additions.

'Congratulations @hillaryscottla how beautiful for you all. Two little blessings', commented one fan.

'Can't wait to see your precious angels!! Congratulations @hillaryscottla!', said another.

These two little miracles join Hillary, her husband Chris Tyrrell's and four-year-old daughter, Eisele.

The Lady Antebellum singer announced her pregnancy back in August with a sweet black-and-white shot of herself with Chris and Eisele.

Wishing her other half the happiest of birthday's before revealing the news of their growing family, she captioned the image: 'Happy Birthday to my forever @chrisetyrrell!!!'

'This next year is going to be one full of joy, challenge, and adventure!

'Thank you for being our steady and always going above and beyond to love us so well.

'You are one of a kind. We love you Daddy! Love, All 6 of us.'

Before anyone could even begin to ask questions, Hillary added: '(ps. we don't know gender of the twins yet!)'.

The 31-year-old's newborn daughters have arrived after the couple tragically lost their second child in 2015 by a miscarriage.
