Miranda Kerr has spoken out about her new baby boy for the first time after giving birth almost three weeks ago.

The 35-year-old Australian model took to Instagram to confirm the name of her second son, and admitted she feels ‘very blessed’.

‘Thank you so much for all of your warm wishes. Evan, Flynn and I have been in baby bliss for the last 17days with our new arrival, baby boy Hart. We feel so very blessed. 🙏🏻❤👼🏻’ she captioned the photo, which featured a cuddly toy and flowers.

The picture also spelt out the child’s name with coloured letters, and appeared to have been taken in the home that Miranda shares with her husband, SnapChat founder Evan Spiegel.

Of course the model was inundated with comments of congratulations from her 11.7 million followers, who were no doubt hoping to see a photo of the newborn.

Miranda and Evan’s baby son was born at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles on May 7, and the name chosen by the couple is thought to be a tribute to Evan’s grandfather.

Miranda and Evan met in 2014 and made their romance public the following year. The couple were very good friends for years before they started dating.

They married in May last year, and will celebrate their one year anniversary this weekend with their little bundle of joy.

Miranda is also mum to seven-year-old Flynn from her first marriage to Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom. The pair divorced in 2013 after three years of marriage.

Miranda previously spoke about how she waited six months before she introduced Evan to Flynn, something she and ex Orlando had agreed together as they embarked on new romances.

'Evan met Flynn, so yeah, things are going well. Orlando thinks he's great. We're just a modern family now!' she said.
