  • Peter Andre has hit back at ‘ridiculous’ claims that he and wife Emily MacDonagh dye their four-year-old daughter’s hair.

The 45-year-old was forced to deny the claims after he shared a sweet family snap of Emily, daughter Amelia and son Theo, partaking in a spot of gardening.

The Instagram snap shows that mother and daughter have a strikingly similar hair colour – and while many fans commented on how similar Emily and Amelia look, others questioned whether Amelia’s locks are dyed to match her mum’s.

    Which one is which

One fan commented on the snap: ‘Have you dyed your daughters hair @peterandre she is too young’ to which another fan commented: ‘Looks like it doesn’t it’.

But Peter has now hit back in his column for New! Magazine, insisting it is simply a case of ‘like mother, like daughter’.

He wrote: ‘So many people commented, saying how alike Ems and Mills are. Tell me about it! Someone asked if we’ve dyed Amelia’s hair to match Emily’s but that’s ridiculous! None of us have dyed our hair, not even me!’

‘When people say things like that, I take it as a compliment because it just shows how beautiful they are. In my case, it makes me feel young – I’m certainly not complaining about not having any grey hair yet, although it’s definitely coming.’

    Isn’t she just beaut?

He added: ‘It’s not just the same colour Emily and Amelia share. Their personalities are exactly the same, too. Mills is so soft and kind, but she’s also ridiculously shy.’

Peter is also father to son Junior, 12, and daughter Princess, 10, from his three and half year marriage to Katie Price, which ended in 2009.

But he hasn’t ruled out having more children with Emily, admitting earlier this year that he’s feeling ‘broody’.

‘All of a sudden I said I want another baby,’ he told The Mirror.

‘It’s weird as I always said I don’t want to be changing nappies at 50, like Simon Cowell.’
