'The best mum ever' EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite reveals that her mum has passed away
So sad...
Soap star Tamzin Outhwaite has announced the death of her mum in a heartbreaking post on social media.
Soap star Tamzin Outhwaite, who plays Mel Owens in EastEnders, has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her mum in two posts on Instagram. The 47-year old star announced the sad and sudden death of her mother, almost a month ago, by sharing a picture of her with her 122k followers. In the caption she thanked her mum, Anna Patricia Santi, for the positive impact she had on her life.
Tamzin wrote: 'R.I.P Anna Patricia Santi. So lucky to have you as my mum. What an incredible human you were. Thank you Mum. You taught me how to live and you continue to teach me ...’ In addition, the actress also shared a throwback image of her two brothers Kez and Jake, as children, writing: ‘These two beauties and I Lost our beautiful mum 3 weeks ago today, suddenly .....THE best mum ever'.
Earlier this year, Tamzin revealed her mum, who was a city stockbroker before having her, was her inspiration. Tamzin, the mother of two girls told the Daily Mail earlier in the year that she had adopted her mum's positive parenting skills to help raise her daughters - nine-year-old Florence, and five-year-old Marnie. She said: 'If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life is easier if you give things a positive spin. 'I do think a person who feels lucky is bound to be happier than someone who constantly feels hard-done-by or lives in a cloud of negative feelings. 'My mother, Anna, used to drum that into me when I was a child. She would say I was a lucky girl to be given such amazing opportunities, including going to the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London. So I do the same to my girls.’ Tamzin has been a single mum to her two daughters for the last four years, after divorcing husband Tom Ellis in 2014.
