  • Hollywood star Vanessa Marcil has shared some very happy news – she’s expecting a baby girl.

To break the news to her fans, the American TV actress uploaded an adorable picture to Instagram.

‘The girls 😜’, she captioned the photo, which shows her pet pooch looking very relaxed while snoozing on her growing baby bump.

Vanessa appears to be wearing a seriously comfy outfit in the shot, displaying a pair of blue and white plaid pyjama bottoms.

Thrilled to learn that Vanessa is having a daughter, many of her followers left kind words below her post.

‘Congratulations πŸ’• best wishes and happiness for you and your family XOXOXO’, said one.

Another sweetly added: ‘Beyond happy for you & MC! Continue feeling good, hope baby girl is healthy and growing well! Love you πŸ’•.’

When she announced her pregnancy back in November last year, Vanessa revealed that her second journey to motherhood was not easy.

‘It’s baby time. After 6 miscarriages we are saying prayers for OPM 😊 πŸ™πŸ½#MadHappy’, the 49-year-old from California gushed.

In the snap she picked to make the announcement, her partner – who she only refers to as ‘MC’ – looks totally smitten as he plants a kiss on her cheek.

Understandably a huge hit, the photo received thousands of ‘likes’ and amassed lots of comments from admirers.

Vanessa and her partner, who she refers to only as MC, became engaged in April 2015, but have yet to tie the knot.

She is already a mum to a 15-year-old son named Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green from a previous relationship.

Kassius’ father is Transformers star Megan Fox’s husband Brian Austin Green. Vanessa and Brian were both stars of hit show 90210.

Vanessa is best known for playing Brenda Barrett on soap General Hospital from 1992 to 2015, and she also bagged a role in popular crime series Without A Trace.
