Midwife reveals why breastfeeding babies have a favourite boob
You're not going mad, your little one does have a preferred boob...
While new breastfeeding mums are advised to swap their baby between boobs, sometimes, no matter what you try, your baby may be a fan of one particular side.
If you've noticed this phenomenon, you're not alone - and now a midwife has revealed that babies really can express a preference when it comes to which breast they feed from.
Don't worry - it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the 'rejected' boob, or that your baby isn't getting enough milk - and is actually perfectly normal.
It's simply down to nature, and the fact that one boob could be producing more milk than the other.
Talking to parenting website Mama Mia's Year One podcast, midwife Cath Curtin says: 'A lot of women lactate better on one side.'
'For some women, one [breast] is really big and one is really small.'
Cath goes on to say: 'I've looked after women who's breast tissue has only developed on one side and they've breastfed babies really well on the one side.'

The main advice from midwife Cath is: 'Just to respond to your baby, every baby is different.'
In the UK, more than 73 per cent of mums opt to breastfeed their baby, and the NHS recommends women breastfeed exclusively for the first six months of their baby's life if possible, before introducing other foods.
It is thought that even a small amount of breast milk - especially straight after birth, called the colostrum - has a positive effect on the baby's health.
The longer a mother breastfeeds, the longer this protection lasts and the greater the benefits, it is also thought to help protect mum against breast cancer, ovarian cancer, osteoporosis, heart disease and obesity.
