Kaitlyn Dobrow, a 21-year-old beauty blogger from California, lost all four of her limbs after being diagnosed with bacterial meningitis when she was just 19 years old.

But that hasn’t stopped her creating inspirational tutorials, where she applies make-up with a prosthetic arm.

One person said: ‘You are such a beautiful strong girl keep inspiring the world you are amazing’.

Another added: ‘I love the way you are such an inspiration for everyone. You are beautiful and strong inside out!’

In addition to her tutorials, Kaitlyn also shares stories about her every day life, and what it’s like to live as an amputee.

In her most recent video, she explained how she lost her arms and legs. After starting with a headache one night, but assuming it was nothing serious and going to work the next day, Kaitlyn’s condition began to worsen very quickly.

In her video Kaitlyn said: ‘Three hours later, from being able to walk to my bathroom, to walk back to my room, I could not stand at all. I could not even sit up. My body was just dying from the inside out.’

After going to hospital, her skin started to boil at which point she lost 57 per cent of her skin. She added that her hands turned black as the bacterial meningitis developed into sepsis, which cut off the circulation to her limbs.

But Kaitlyn has turned her traumatic experience into something very positive, and it’s amazing that she’s showing people that being an amputee shouldn’t hold you back!
