Woman who lost 22st has 7lbs of excess skin removed and shares incredible pictures

The results are incredible

Lexi, from Indiana, lost an incredible 22st since January 2016 but this left her with 7lbs of excess skin, which needed to be surgically removed.

If you’ve been trying to lose weight for some time and you’ve finally motivated yourself to have a lifestyle change, it’s a pretty amazing feeling when you start seeing some results.

But when you’ve managed the dramatic weight loss in a short period of time, people often forget about the potential of having lots of excess skin left behind. Lexi, who tracked her incredible weight loss under the Instagram handle @fatgirlfedup, was faced with that exact reality.

After losing  312lbs in weight in two years, the equivalent of more than 90 bags of sugar, Lexi was left with 7lbs of excess skin on her stomach, thighs and bum.

She explained: ‘As hard as it is for me to post photos of myself like this on the internet knowing how many are watching, I know that it will be gone in just a few days and I don’t want to hide the reality of massive weight loss. I never want to not be real with you guys. I’m here to be real, not to be perfect.

‘Danny [her husband] told me to post this because he knows how much it will help someone. The reality is girls wear bikini thongs in public and nobody bats an eye and we all have skin. I HAVE LOOSE SKIN ALL OVER MY BODY. I was almost 485lbs and it’s just something that reminds me of who I once was. This is my reality.’
