Joe Wicks has revealed that he and model girlfriend, Rosie Jones are expecting their first child together.
Personal trainer Joe Wicks - who found fame as The Body Coach – took to social media to confirm he exciting news. Sharing a picture with his 2.1 million followers on Instagram, Joe and his girlfriend are seen smiling and holding up a baby scan.
The 'Lean in 15' dad-to-be started the caption with 'I'm gonna be a daddy', before going on to explain to fans that while he has always chosen to keep his personal life private this time, he and Rosie were 'absolutely buzzing to be parents', and that he wanted to share the nice news. The caption went on to explain that the baby is due in just over 10 weeks time and that the excited pair don’t yet know the gender.
The full caption read: 'Hey everyone, I'm gonna be a Daddy. This is the first time I've ever shared a photo of myself with Rosie.
'I've always chosen to keep my personal life and relationship private but with such an amazing new thing coming into our lives I thought it would be nice to share the news with you myself.
'We are both absolutely buzzing to be parents. We don't know the sex of the baby but it's due in just over 10 weeks time.'
And the congratulations messages flooded in, one fan wrote: 'Congratulations! Now the tough training begins! :)' While another gushed: 'Get ready. It’s the epic ride and overnight love of your life. Hugest congratulations.’ This fan joked: ‘I see a lot of midnight workouts coming soon @thebodycoachhaha, seriously though congratulations to you guys’
The Sun newspaper revealed that Joe and Rosie were dating in September 2016, and since then the health guru has spoken openly about the future. In January Joe told The Mirror that he often considers how he will raise his children.
He said: 'I think about this a lot… I don’t want my kids to be spoilt, I want them to learn the value of money and of working.'
And when asked if he wanted to get married he revealed: 'I think so. I've been with my girlfriend for a year now.
He went on to admit that Rosie was 'definitely the one', before adding: 'I live on social media every day, so the only thing I have that's private really is me and my girlfriend.'
