Brooke Vincent has announced she’s welcomed her first child with partner Kean Bryan.
The soap star took to Instagram to reveal she gave birth last week, and the baby name she picked for her first bundle of joy – Mexx.
Alongside an adorable picture, she wrote, ‘On Wednesday 23rd October at 8.14am Our Baby Boy Arrived. Mexx S J Bryan, you complete us 🌍💙’.
She later posted another snap of her bundle of joy with his dad, writing, 'My Two 🌍'.
Fans were quick to congratulate her on the new baby, with one saying, ‘So gorgeous! Welcome to motherhood 💙😍’.
Another wrote, ‘Congratulations xxx💙💙💙 what a beautiful picture x’.
A third added, ‘Congratulations to you both x’.
Brooke’s last update to fans had been a week ago – two days before she gave birth – when she shared a picture of herself being checked by the midwife at home.
She wrote at the time, ‘🌻Still no sign of our little baby yet, Must be very comfy!! Having my appointments at home has been such a massive help in my pregnancy especially working the unpredictable hours I did and then moving house so close to my due date. Thank you to Cheryl & @private_midwives for always going above and beyond to not make our appointments rushed and for her flexibility over the past couple of weeks!!! 🌻💛’.
The actor first revealed she was expecting her first child back in April.
She told OK! Magazine tat the time, I always worried it wouldn't happen for me – I'm beside myself with happiness.
'I’ve been playing songs to the bump. And sometimes I sit and cry about how much I love my baby! I’ve always wanted to be a mum, so I’m really excited.’
Speaking about her relationship with Kean, she added, 'We're both each other’s biggest fans and having a baby together will add an extra bond.
'Kean brings out the best in me and it makes me so excited that we're on this journey together. I like to think I'm the boss of our relationship but Kean has a really wise head on his shoulders, so I know he'll be a brilliant dad.'
