Personal trainer Alex surprised Cassie with a dramatic themed proposal… and fans are going crazy for it.
Singer Cassie Ventura and her boyfriend Alex Fine announced that they were expecting their first baby just two months ago – and now they’re tying the knot!
But it wasn’t just any old run-of-the-mill proposal. Alex came up with the idea for a romantic cowboy-themed proposal with the help of California’s Compton Cowboys. And, of course, shared it with his 229,000 Instagram followers, writing: ‘Mrs Fine 8.24 – forever’.
The one-minute video shows Alex moodily stroking his horse before getting dressed and donning that all-important cowboy hat. Meanwhile, a member of the Compton Cowboys leads Cassie to the designated proposal spot, where Alex dismounts and gets down on one knee, before riding off into the sunset - aww!
The sweet proposal melted more hearts than one. ‘Loved this,’ one follower commented. ‘Ain’t this romantic,’ another agreed. ‘Asking if you have a brother of some kind,’ added another.
Cassie reposted the video on her own account, writing: ‘My favorite day ever! #MrsFine 8.24’. She then posted a loved-up picture showing her and new fiancé Alex hugging after the proposal, adding: ‘I love you best friend. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.’
The previous day, the singer had posted racy nude shots featuring her showing off her bump on the beach, in honour of her 33rd birthday. She cheekily captioned one shot, which showed her reclining on a rock: ‘Birthday Suit’.
‘Real Mermaid,’ one follower commented. ‘Fierce Momma,’ another added.
Cassie and Alex have been dating for nine months. Before meeting Alex, Cassie was in an 11 year relationship with P Diddy. The happy couple announced that they were expecting their first child together in June, and received a sweet tribute from the rapper on Instagram.
‘Congratulations @Cassie and Alex,’ he wrote alongside an image of the couple. ‘I wish you all nothing but love and happiness. God bless L O V E.’
