  • David Beckham has revealed that he and his two youngest son run to school in the morning.

The dad-of-four took to social media to reveal the unusual way in which he chooses to do the morning school run (which a study found is the most stressful part of the day for parents), and we’re just jealous we’re not fit enough to follow suit.

The retired football player shared a video on his Instagram stories of him and his two youngest sons, Romeo, 16, and Cruz, 13, running through the park on a sunny morning.

The trio were wrapped up hats and warm athletic gear to shield themselves from the cold dawn conditions of February.

He captioned the video, explaining that they were on their way to school writing: ‘So apparently it’s 3 miles to the school well done boys’.

The enthusiastic dad greeted his sons with a ‘good morning’ before discussing the sunrise run.

‘Morning Cruz,’ he said to his youngest. ‘How many miles again today?’

The third Beckham sibling then replied ‘another two.’

The 43-year-old then turned to his other son and complimented his haircut, before asking ‘Are you all right?’

‘Yeah, I’m good,’ replied the teen.

There was no sign of the sportsman’s oldest and youngest kids, as at 19-years old the Beckhams’ first son Brooklyn no longer attends school. And little Harper seems a bit too young for a morning workout at only seven-years-old.

However, matriarch of the family Victoria Beckham recently opened up about her own exercise preferences.

She told The Guardian that she gets up between 5.30am and 6am to work out in the mornings and starts with 7km on the treadmill.

‘A mix of uphill fast walking, jogging, running,’ she said. ‘That’s the only time I watch TV – boxsets, documentaries – so I look forward to that.’

‘Then I work out with a trainer,’ she continued, ‘30 minutes legs, 30 minutes arms, toning and conditioning, then loads of planks and that kind of thing for my core.

‘I work out every day when I’m at home,’ she added, ‘and then when I travel I really focus on work so I can get as much done as possible in a short trip and get home.’
