Eva Longoria and her husband José Antonio Bastón have welcomed their first child together after confirming they were having a baby in December.
The actress revealed the news to Hello! Magazine’s sister publication Hola!. She gave birth at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, to a baby boy weighing 6 lbs and 13 oz on Tuesday 19 June.
As for their son’s name, the couple have chosen Santiago Enrique Bastón. Eva and José are yet to reveal any sentimental meaning behind the name, but they have shared how happy they are at his arrival.
They told Hola!: ‘We are so grateful for this beautiful blessing’.
Eva documented her pregnancy on social media with regular bump pictures and hinted at the baby’s imminent arrival just a few days ago, posing in a Mexican football kit.
In the picture released to Hola! from the birth Eva can be seen cradling her son, who is wearing a pink and blue striped hat. José is nowhere to be seen but Eva had previously stressed that she wanted no one in the delivery room when she gave birth.
It’s been an emotional few days for Eva as she recently revealed that her pet dog of 15 years had passed away after suffering from a stroke.
The arrival of her baby is sure to have helped the actress through this difficult time.
Santiago is Eva’s first child with her third husband José. The couple married in 2016 in a beautiful ceremony in Mexico. Her gown was designed by close friend and fellow mum Victoria Beckham who is likely to want to meet Eva’s little boy soon!
Despite not posting a picture of Santiago on her Instagram her, Eva’s fans have already started congratulating the actress.
One person wrote: ‘Congrats on your little boy! 🤗🤗’.
We hope to see Santiago in that Mexican football kit soon Eva – the next game is Saturday!
