Hilary Duff welcomes baby girl with boyfriend Matthew Koma
Hilary Duff has welcomed her second child.
Earlier this morning, the actress and singer confirmed on her Instagram page that she had given birth to a baby daughter on Thursday afternoon of last week.
Named Banks Violet Bair, the new baby girl is Hilary’s first child with current boyfriend Matthew Koma.
To announce the little one’s arrival, the Cheaper by the Dozen actress posted a picture on her Instagram page that shows the new parents cuddling their sleeping bundle of joy and smiling down at her.
She captioned the image: ‘Banks Violet Bair ❤ this little bit has fully stolen our hearts! She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic’
Hilary chose to make her birth announcement in the same way she revealed that she was expecting a baby with her musician boyfriend.
Back in June, the Lizzie McGuire star put up an adorable photo on Instagram of partner Matthew with his arm around her shoulders and a little bump just visible under her maxi dress.

‘Guess what guys!’, she wrote, ‘@matthewkoma and I made a little princess of our own and we couldn’t be more excited!!!!!!’
This announcement came only a few months after her older sister Haylie Duff revealed that she was pregnant with her second child.
Haylie, who acted in the 2006 movie Material Girls with her younger sister, welcomed her second child with fiancé Matt Rosenberg back in June.
So, as well as her older brother, little Banks will have two older cousins to play with.
For Hilary, Banks is her second child, as she shares six-year-old son Luca with her hockey player ex-husband, Mike Comrie.
The Cinderella Story actress, who has previously been criticised for kissing son Luca on the lips but defended herself against critics, welcomed her eldest back in 2012 with her then-husband of two years. However, the pair split two years later.
Congratulations to Hilary and Matthew and welcome to the world baby Banks!
