The This Morning soap expert and Paul welcomed their first daughter Betsey just 14 months ago, and Sharon shared the exciting engagement news on social media - and on the show - today.

As she was chatting away about the goings on in EastEnders, Corrie and Emmerdale, 57-year-old Phil piped up to say: ‘Congratulations, by the way,’ before 38-year-old Holly continued: ‘That is lovely news to start the morning with, well done you.’

Sharon’s daughter Betsey made her very own appearance on the This Morning sofa this summer, celebrating her first birthday on the show back in July.

As Sharon introduced the sweet tot to presenter Holly, the mum-of-three cooed: It's a very special day in Betsey's life today. She is so gorgeous!' before they gifted her a tiny toy piano.

Before proud mummy Sharon admitted: ‘We loved her before we even met her for years.’
