  • Jamelia announced she gave birth a month ago, but now she’s revealed the gender and name of her third child, as she also shared details of her difficult pregnancy.

The TV presenter shared the lovely news that she’d welcomed her third child last December, but at the time she did not tell fans whether she welcomed a baby boy or a baby girl, or what baby name she’d picked.

More than a month after her baby announcement, the mum-of-three has now revealed she have birth to another girl, after a difficult pregnancy.

Speaking on Lorraine, Jamelia said her waters broke at 23 weeks but she still managed to carry her baby until 36 weeks.

‘I didn’t think for a second my pregnancy could continue. I didn’t know your waters could break and you can still carry the baby. When your waters break, they usually think you’re going to go into labour within the hour.

‘From that point they said the baby could come any day now. There are so many problems that come along with that happening.’

The star then explained that she had to be on 100 per cent bed rest, so that she wouldn’t give birth too early.

‘It was a scary time for all of us. They keep calling my daughter a miracle baby. Going through something like that really opens your eyes.’

The singer also revealed they named their daughter True Winter, because of her dramatic labour: ‘I had a lovely little girl, another daughter and her name is True and we put Winter in there too as it’s part of the story.

‘I went into labour that weekend that we had that awful snow. My husband was at work and my eldest daughter had three of her friends over for a sleepover. It was like an episode of Fawlty Towers.

‘We ended up having to walk in the snow to the train station – you couldn’t make it up! I was in labour. By that point it was just remain positive, make a joke out of it. We did have such a laugh.

‘We’ve all had a trying time as a family, but I feel blessed.’

Explaining why she waited to reveal the gender and name of her third baby, she said she was waiting to introduce the newborn to her nan and grandad.

‘The reason I hadn’t revealed the name or gender was I wanted her to meet my nan and grandad first. She only met them this weekend’, she said.
