News broke that actress Kirsten Dunst had welcomed her and fiancé Jesse Plemons' first child together last week.

The Spider-Man star didn't announce the baby name of their little boy at first but it has since been confirmed as Ennis Howard Plemons.

Ennis' birth certificate, obtained by The Blast, also shows that he was born at 8:16am on Thursday 3 May at Providence St. John's in Santa Monica, California.

The special meaning behind Kirsten and Jesse's little boy's name has not yet been revealed but we hope that it won't be too long before the couple share some more details.

According to baby naming website BabyCentre, Ennis is short for Dennis and is of Greek origin. It currently ranks at 6,201 in their popular baby names for 2018 list which is up over 2,000 places from last year.

In an interview with Marie Claire UK last year, Kirsten revealed that she was very much ready for family life.

She said: ‘I’m at a stage in my life where I’m like, I’ve been working since I was 3. It’s time to have babies and chill. You know what I mean?'

So it's possible Ennis will be followed by a sibling or two in the future!

The couple announced their engagement back in January last year. Speaking about the moment Jesse proposed to Jimmy Kimmel, Kirsten said: 'I was a little sick when [he proposed], which was funny'.

She joked: 'But that's good. Sickness and in health, you know… I was in sweats.'

The couple haven't announced a date for the wedding and given how secretive they were about the pregnancy and birth, it is unlikely we will find out they've done the deed until it happens.

Perhaps they will wait until Ennis is a little older so that he can play a proper role in the family-of-three's special day.

We hope we get to see a picture of the little guy soon!
