'Totally inappropriate dress for a family show' Parents slam Amanda Holden's Britain's Got Talent outfit choice

'For a family friendly show think it's outrageous what Amanda Holden is wearing.'

Amanda Holden has been criticised online by parents for wearing a revealing outfit for the Britain's Got Talent semi-final, with many suggesting that her dress was 'inappropriate' for a family show.

The 46-year-old star stepped out in a glamorous outfit for last night's episode of Britain's Got Talent, donning a full-length gown with plunging neckline and low back.

Amanda said she was 'flattered' to be wearing the dark green, sequinned Julian Macdonald dress on the ITV show and posted a split picture of herself on Twitter in it.

But despite being pleased with her choice, some viewers at home weren't as impressed by the look as Amanda seemed to be.

As soon as the talent show aired, Twitter was flooded with messages from people watching at home, particularly parents, slamming Amanda for her provocative choice.

One Twitter user referenced that Britain's Got Talent is known for being a family show, 'Totally inappropriate dress for a family show Amanda Holden #BGT Just because you can doesn't mean you should! #havesomeclass'

Another referred to the dress as 'not appropriate', 'For a family friendly show think it's outrageous what Amanda Holden is wearing. So not appropriate. BGT sort it out #BGT #shocking'

A mum-of-two also took to Twitter calling the dress 'Amazing' but 'too revealing', 'Amazing dress @AmandaHolden but far too revealing for a family show #bgt #BritainsGotTalent'

Another mum also didn't seem to approve of Amanda's choice, 'So Amanda is effectively topless on #BritainsGotTalent tonight'

Even viewers without children seemed to think that the dress may have been too much, with one social media user saying, 'Does Amanda Holden know this is a family show and doesn't need to dress like a stripper #BGT'
