General Hospital's Vanessa Marcil reveals that she's suffered seventh miscarriage

The actress was expecting a baby girl

Vanessa Marcil, who starred in the hit show General Hospital, has sadly announced that she's suffered another miscarriage and lost the baby girl she was expecting with her fiancé.

The Hollywood star shared the sad news with fans on social media, in a statement posted by a rep for the couple.

Alongside a picture of the pair kissing on a beach, they wrote: 'Our hearts are with Vanessa and MC who have lost baby OPM. Thank you for respecting their privacy as they heal and thank you for sharing all of your personal stories. You are not alone.'

Many of Vanessa's fans took to the comments section to send conforting words to the couple, with some even sharing their own experiences of miscarriage.

'After having 2 miscarriages in the span of 8 months (last one 19 days ago), it’s an all too familiar feeling. I pray for your physical and emotional healing as well as for peace that transcends ❤️🙏🏽', one wrote.

Another said: 'Oh dear God, my heart aches for you. I am so sorry for your loss. God bless you both. ❤️🙏🏻'.

A third also commented: 'My heart is breaking for you and your family. Sending prayers 🙏🏻'.

Vanessa announced back in November that she was expecting a baby with her fiancé, after suffering six miscarriages.

'It's baby time. After 6 miscarriages we are saying prayers for OPM 😊 🙏🏽#MadHappy', the 49-year-old from California wrote on Instagram.

Earlier this month she revealed she was expecting a baby girl, with a sweet picture of her dog resting on her baby bump, writing: 'The girls 😜'.

Vanessa is already a mum to a 15-year-old son named Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green, from her relationship with Megan Fox's husband Brian Austin Green.

She became engaged to her partner, who she refers to only as MC, in April 2015, but the two have yet to tie the knot.
