Nadiya Hussain announced as judge for Junior Bake Off show
Nadiya's back in the tent - but this time she's judging!
Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain will be returning to a slightly smaller tent this year, after being announced as one of the judges for the Junior Bake Off show.
Since winning the 2015 series, mum-of-two Nadiya has enjoyed a whirlwind year, including gracing the cover of Essentials magazine and becoming our guest blogger for her very own #NadiyaBakes column on GoodtoKnow.
The 31 year old has also released a cookery book, and even been asked to bake the Queen's 90th birthday cake!
It's thanks to her impressive culinary talents that made Nadiya the perfect fit for the Junior Bake Off judging role and the ideal option for producers. Nadiya will be back on our screens to judge 40 contestants, all between the ages of nine to 12, who will battle their baking skills to win the Junior Bake Off trophy.
The mini bakers will compete over 10 heats in the famous Bake Off tent, and will be trying all of our favourite challenges including the technical and the show-stopper.
Accompanying Nadiya as a judge will be international chef and food writer Allegra McEvedy, as well as CBBC presenters Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes.
After gaining so much from her experience on last year's show, Nadiya is excited to help others, saying, 'This time last year I was in the Bake Off tent and now I get to go back and help encourage the next generation to get their bake on'.
