This superfood smoothie not only tastes good, it looks good and it does you good! A beautiful shade of purple, it packs a powerful antioxidant punch – you can almost see the nutrients jumping out of the glass. Frozen blueberries, purple grape juice, banana and raspberry yoghurt combine to make a drink that has it all – healthy, easy to prepare and it won’t break the bank. The perfect start to the day – so much fresher than toast and a great way to boost your five-a-day.

Ingredients

  • 170g frozen blueberries
  • 175ml purple grape juice
  • A handful of sunflower seeds
  • 1 banana
  • 120ml raspberry yoghurt (organic, if possible)

  1. Blend all the ingredients together thoroughly and pour into a tall glass.

For an extra berry kick, add a handful of fresh or frozen raspberries, to boost the raspberry yoghurt. For a sweeter alternative, you can also add a teaspoon of honey.
