  • Learn how to make a classic tomato sauce using passata, garlic, herbs and red wine for richness.     • 3 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    • 680g passata
    • 1 large glass red wine
    • 1 tbsp chopped oregano, or basil
    • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
    • 1 tsp caster sugar


    • Heat oil and garlic in a deep frying pan. Add passata and red wine and bring to the boil.

    • Stir in the oregano, vinegar and sugar and simmer for 10 minutes. Season well with salt and pepper.
