Apples and berries go well together in a crumble - but they're just as delicious in a refreshingly fruity ice lolly! The kids will love them.
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 450g fresh or frozen mixed forest fruits e.g. strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blackcurrants
- 75g caster sugar

Method
- Peel, core and dice the apples and put them in a pan with 4 tablespoons of water. Cook for 4 mins, then add the berries and cook for 3 mins.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar until dissolved. Taste the fruit and add a little more sugar if it is too sharp (this will depend on how ripe the berries are).
- Purée the fruit, sieve to remove the seeds, then cool. Pour into lolly moulds and freeze overnight.
